August 27, 2019 – During the course of her running career, marathon runner April had developed a collapsing arch and painful bunion from training and participating in marathons. In order to resolve her painful bunion, she had Lapiplasty® 3D Bunion Correction™ performed by Dr. Jody McAleer at JCMG Podiatry in Jefferson City, MO.

Dr. Jody McAleer corrected the bunion in all three dimensions using a specialized surgery, [Lapiplasty® 3D [Bunion Correction™] to restore normal rotation that is especially important for the wear and tear runners put on their feet. Five months after surgery, April returned to running and completed her first 10K race. 
As far as the surgery, April is happy to run every day for health and to be able to finish a race again.
